Captain Akhil’s fiery 60 helps BPCL clinch a 5wkt win over Tata SC in MCA Corporate Trophy’24

Tata Sports Club after being put to bat first at Sachin Tendulkar Gymkhana Ground in Kandivali, Mumbai made a total of 154/6 in 20 overs. Even though the top order of Tata Sports Club could’nt make much of an impact but Gaurish Jadhav at the middle order resurrected the innings back with a gritty half century. From the bowlers, Akash Mishra with 2/30 was the pick of the lot.

Bharat Petroleum Marketing Sports Club in reply chased down the score successfully in mere 17.3 overs courtesy their skipper Akhil Herwadkar. Akhil opening the innings took the bowlers head on creating a positive momentum en-route his aggressive 60 off mere 33 balls! What’s more, Akhil displayed brilliant strokeplay as his knock included as many as 6 sixes at a strike rate of 181.82. Akhil was well supported by the middle order batters as Bharat Petroleum won the match by 5 wkts.
