Sydney Joseph continues his surreal form with the bat as he registers his 2nd back to back hundred in Hyderabad Cricket. Just fresh from a blistering 120 for SMCC United on Prime Arena Ground, Sydney continued to weave magic this time in the super knockout game of Azaad Cup representing Yorkshire Cricket Club.
Yorkshire CC batting first notched up a healthy total of 217/7 in 20 overs with Sydney coming at no.4 top scoring in the game with a match winning half century. Sydney went on to score 108 off mere 53 balls striking at 203.77 smashing 13 boundaries and 5 sixes as he raked up his 23rd century across all formats. Skipper Sydney was well supported by middle order batters as he helped Yorkshire post a more than healthy total on the board to defend.
Hunters XI in reply were all out for 103 runs in 12.5 overs with Dharani returning with excellent bowling figures of 6/24 in 3.5 overs. Captain Sydney also chipped in with 2 wkts as Yorkshire Cricket Club won the match by 114 runs. Sydney for his all-round contribution in the match was declared ‘player of the match” With 19.12 points, Sydney is also the MVP (most valuable player) of the tournament.
