PJ Hindu Gymkhana opting to bat first on their homeground in Mumbai scored a healthy total on board putting up 352/4 in 45 overs. Opener Kaushik, Maxwell Swaminathan and Ajit Yadav at the middle order were the top scorers for PJ Hindu Gymkhana smashing half centuries. From the bowlers, Karsh Kothari and Umar Khan with 2 wkts each were the pick of the lot.

Chasing 350+ on an opposition’s homeground within 45 overs is not the easiest of tasks but DY Patil outperformed PJ Hindu Gymkhana successfully chasing down the total in 45 overs. Openers Pranav and Sahil laid down the foundation with an 89 run stand in the first 11 overs while it was Ayaz Khan at no.5 who soaked in the pressure and anchored his team towards the massive total.

Ayaz scored a match winning 91 off 74 balls which included 10 boundaries and 2 sixes while stitching crucial partnerships with Harsh Rane (54 runs) and Iqbal Abdullah (72* runs). Iqbal also played a pivotal role as he scored his 72 in just 29 balls as DY Patil Sports Academy won the match by 4 wkts.
