An Outright Innings win for Modern English School under Achievers Cricket Academy in U14 Giles Shield’24

Achievers Cricket Academy which is in charge of Coaching the Modern English School Team is doing an excellent job rising through the ranks and giving excellent performances in Giles and Harris Shield tournaments – two of the most prolific and prestigious school cricket tournaments of Mumbai.

St. Antonio De Silva School batting first at Matunga Gymkhana Ground were all out for 109 runs courtesy a great bowling show by MES bowlers. Shashwat Naik and Jasmeet Singh in particular were the pick of the lot picking up 3wkts each.

Modern English School in reply scored 291/8 dec in 59.4 overs with Pranav Iyengar top scoring in the match with a knock of 70 runs in 36 balls which included 9 fours and 3 sixes. Apart from Pranav, opener Aryan Kamble also scored a half century scoring 61 runs off 129 balls. The rest of the batters also provided handy contributions as MES team were in a strong position to defend.

St. Antonio De Silva in 2nd innings again could’nt make a massive difference as they were bundled out for 87 runs with Nishad Parab taking 3 wkts. Vivaan, Jasmeet and Rishi also bagged 2wkts each as MES won the match outright with a bonus point.
