All-Rounder Nikhil Jain puts an all-round show in Prahaar Big Bash Cup’23

Played at Naringi Stadium in Virar, Avengers CC after being put to bat first posted a total of 98/10 in 20 overs. Vishal Mane (19 runs), opener Arbaz Pathan with 17 runs and all-rounder Nikhil Jain (14 runs) top scored with their cameos.  From the bowlers, Abhishek Mishra with 3/12 was the pick of the lot.

Defending such a low total, the pressure was more on Avengers CC and they did a brilliant job of restricting the opposition to 79 all out winning the match by 19 runs. Danish Chaudhary with 3/15 and Nikhil Jain were the pick of the lot. Nikhil with the ball returned with an impactful spell of 3/21 in 4 overs. Atharva Taide also chipped in with 2 wkts in his 3 overs as Avengers CC made it a collective team effort to successfully defend a low total.

Danish Choudhary who was officially declared the man of the match award showed sportsman spirit and handed it over to his team mate Nikhil Jain who scored 14 runs alongwith 3 wkts. Nikhil also impressed recently in the Mumbai Championship T20 League where he scored a knock of 44 runs for Raygad Raje CC. Nikhil top scored for his team showing some grit and confidence against all top division players of Railways.

Nikhil shared with Zoomcricket – It’s a great feeling to contribute for your team, even though I feel bad our team lost the match but its always a learning experience and it’s been a match to remember vs all top division players of Railways. Also in the Prahaar Big Bash match, Danish showed great sportsman spirit by handing over his MoM trophy to me. I am working hard on my game and hopefully many more performances to come.
