All-Rounder Himanshu Rathod impresses with a 3wkt haul vs UAE in Gulf T20I Championship’24

Played at ICCA Dubai, UAE batting first made a total of 162/6 in 20 overs with opener and captain Muhammad Waseem being the top scorer with 65 runs. Apart from him, Asif Khan at the middle order scored 41 runs. From the Qatar bowlers, experienced spin bowling all-rounder Himanshu Rathod was the pick of the lot returning with impressive bowling figures of 3/27 in 4 overs. Himanshu, one of the most experienced players in the side not only had the best bowling figures in the match but he was also the most economical of the lot. Apart from Himanshu, Amir Farooq with 2/27 was the pick of the lot.

Qatar Team in reply could manage 139/7 in 20 overs as UAE won the match by 23 runs. The top order found it a bit difficult to get going with Muhammad Tanveer being the highest scorer at the middle order with 47 runs. Apart from him, Himanshu at no.8 once again showed his batting prowess with an unbeaten 25* off 22 balls.

Result: UAE team won the match by 23 runs.
