All-Rounder Ayush Zimare ton ensures a semis berth for Victory CC in Police Shield Tournament’24

Victory CC batting first on National CC ground in Mumbai made a massive total of 428 runs in 69.4 overs with openers Divyansh Saxena and Saurabh Jagtap smashing half centuries. Divyansh scored 85 off 52 balls while Saurabh Jagtap scored 67 runs off 86 balls as both the openers gave an opening stand of 136 runs which set the tone for their innings. In-form all-rounder Aayush Zimare at the middle order further upped the ante proving to be the game changer with his match winning century.

Aayush coming at no.5 went on to score a brilliant 112 off 121 balls which included 8 boundaries and 5 sixes including a crucial partnership with Pragnesh K. Aayush overall has been in good nick this season with his previous knocks including a solid 52 vs Shivaji Park Gymkhana & a quick 45 vs Route Mobile. From the bowlers, Akshay Ambike with 5/112 was the pick of the lot from National CC.

National CC in reply were all out for 172 runs with experienced duo of Shashank Attarde (3 wkts) and Yogesh Dicholkar (4 wkts) doing their job with the ball lending a 256 runs win to their club!

Result: Victory Cricket Club won the match by 256 runs & qualify into the semi-finals of the tournament.
