All-Rounder Aayush Zimare’s match winning 81* helps New Hind SC reach finals of Young Comrade Shield Tournament’23

Khar Gymkhana opting to bat first at New Hind Sporting Club at New Hind Sporting Club Ground in Matunga could’nt make much of an impact scoring 175 all out in 45.4 overs. Most of their batters got starts but couldn’t convert it into big individual score. Mehboob Shaikh (42 runs) and Hiken Shah (38 runs) were the top scorers from Khar Gymkhana. From the bowlers, Akshay Jambhekar (5 wkts) and Parikshit Valsangkar (4 wkts) were the pick of the lot from the bowlers.

Chasing 176, New Hind Sporting Club did had a shaky start with some quick wickets being lost at the middle order. However, it was New Hind’s Young Star All-Rounder Aayush Zimare who rescued his team with a perfect match winning innings to push his team towards the finals of the Young Comrade Shield. Aayush who came at no.4 scored 81* off 105 balls smashing 10 fours and a six guiding the chase with rock solid resistance.  Aayush was well supported by Siddhant Adhatrao with whom he stitched a 72 runs stand as New Hind Sporting Club won the match by 4 wkts crossing the victory line in the 42nd over.
