Akhil Herwadkar’s quick half century & Akash Parkar’s fifer steers CCI to a win in Padmakar Talim Shield Tournament’25

Sind Sports Club after being put to bat first on Cricket Club of India Ground made a total of 175/6 in 20 overs. Sujay Thakkar coming at no.4 scored an unbeaten half century while rest of the batters found it difficult to get going. From the bowlers, all-rounder Akash Parkar led from the front taking 5/35 in 4 overs.

Cricket Club of India in reply chased down the score in just 16.4 overs winning the match by 4 wkts. Akhil Herwadkar opening the innings scored a brilliant half century scoring 51 off 29 balls which included 6 fours and 2 sixes. The left hander went all guns blazing stitching crucial partnerships with Rudra (24 runs) and Akash Anand (46 runs). Akash Parkar at middle order played the finishers role smashing a quick 19* as CCI won the match by 4 wkts and 3.2 overs to spare.
