
DY Patil opting to bat first at MIG Cricket Ground in Bandra, Mumbai were all out for 204 runs in the first innings with Arman Jaffer’s 43 being the highest score. From the CCI bowlers, pacer Irfan Umair was the pick of the lot taking 4/66 in 17 overs including maidens. Akash Parkar and Dhrumil Matkar also bagged two wickets each.
Cricket Club of India in reply scored a massive 440/6 in 90 overs powered by two stunning centuries by power hitters Sujit Nayak and Akash Parkar. After Aarya Satpute (68 runs) and Akash Anand (78 runs) giving solid start at the top of the order, it was Sujit and Akash at the middle order stitching a massive partnership to take the game away from the opposition. Sujit scored 115 off 117 balls which included 9 boundaries and 7 sixes while Akash scored an unbeaten 106* off 98 balls which included 6 boundaries and 6 sixes.
DY Patil in 2nd innings were all out for 297 runs giving a target of 62 runs to CCI. Irfan Umair took 6wkts in the 2nd innings taking 6/92 in 12.4 overs. CCI openers Akhil and Aarya chased down the score with ease winning the finale by 10 wkts and emerging the Champions of Young Comrade Shield Tournament.
