A Massive 107 run win for Spartans CC over Neo CC in Essex and East London Cricket League’24

Spartans CC after being put to bat first at Goodmayes Park Cricket Ground made a total of 230 runs in 43.1 overs. Even though it was a shaky start by the top order, Chinna Katha at no.5 played a very important innings of 49 runs while also stitching a crucial partnership with Ashwin who came at no.6 and chipped in with 33 runs. Both the batters at the middle order held fort taking their team out of trouble and pushing them towards a respectable total.  The lower order batters consisting of Sai Pujari, Srikanth Reddy and Srinivas also provided handy contributions with the bat.

NEO CC in reply were all out for 123 runs in 24.5 overs as Spartans CC bowlers did an amazing job of restricting the opposition within 25 overs. Chinna Katha led from the front taking 3/25 in 7.5 overs including 2 maidens while Sakaaar Mishra bagging 2 wkts.

Spartans CC played like a formidable unit under their skipper Santosh Pujari who made his captaincy debut with a bang in this match as Spartans won the match by 107 runs. Sakaar Mishra and Chinna Katha both were declared ‘Man of the match’ for their all-round contributions.
