Roding Valley CC 2nd XI opting to bat first on their homeground could’nt muster a big total on board notching up just 156 all out in 46.1 overs. It was a collective team performance and some good bowling by Spartans Bowlers which ensured the opposition team remained under control. From the bowlers, Kaushik, Rajesh and Upendar with 2wkts each were the pick of the lot.
Spartans CC XI in reply chased down the score successfully winning the match by 4 wkts. Even though they faced some early jitters but it was the 5th wicket 63 runs partnership between Nimesh and Jaydeep followed by a 7th wicket 40 run stand Nimesh stitched with Nag which did the job for Spartans. Jaydeep top scored with 36 runs while Nimesh showed a lot of grit scoring 35* off 67 balls alongwith Nag who remained unbeaten on 28* off 25 balls.
