A Dominating win for Cricket Explained Academy on the back of Abhimanyu Iyer’s half century in U12 Little Champs Tournament’24

Cricket Explained Academy after being put to bat first made a healthy total on board putting up 192/7 in 30 overs. After a decent start by the top order, it was Abhimanyu Iyer at no.4 who held fort from one end and took his team towards a respectable total. Abhimanyu scored 65 off 62 balls smashing 8 boundaries at a strike rate of 104.84. Abhimanyu also stitched crucial stands with other middle order batters ensuring Cricket Explained Academy remains on top.

Defending 193, Cricket Mantras were cleaned up for just 52 runs as Cricket Explained bowlers did an excellent job with the ball. Captain Jiaan, Abhimanyu and Dinesh with 2 wkts each were the pick of the lot allowing only one batter from entire team to score in double digits.

Cricket Explained Academy won the match by 140 runs while Abhimanyu Iyer was declared ‘man of the match”.

So far, Cricket Explained have won both the league games so far in the tournament.
