2nd Innings ton for Ayaz Khan vs Odisha in DR (CAPT) K Thimppiah Memorial Tournament’24

DY Patil Cricket Academy opting to bat first at SJCE Mysore Ground made a total of 262/10 in 53.3 overs with half centuries by Ayush Badoni and Parth Sahani. Tapas K Das from Odisha was the pick of the lot taking 4/56 in 13 overs. Odisha in reply scored 283 runs courtesy a century at the middle order by Sandeep Patnaik. From DY Patil bowlers, left arm spinner Karsh Kothari with 7/82 was the pick of the lot returning with a fifer.

DY Patil in 2nd innings bounced back well 308/10 in 87.2 overs. After openers Pranav and Harsh setting up base with a 68 run opening stand, it was Ayaz Khan who single handedly fought it out in the 3rd innings of the match as he went on to score a rock solid 111 off 162 balls.  Ayaz smashed 10 fours and 2 sixes as rest of the players batted around him to ensure they cross the 300 run mark. Ayaz who has averaged a 100+ in his last 10 outings continued his blazing form with the bat showcasing his temperament under crunch situation.

Chasing 288, Odisha in 4th innings were all out for 287 runs with Karsh Kothari bagging another 4 wkts as both the teams giving it their all with match ending in a draw.
