Gaurav Dhiman, the former India U19 and Ranji Trophy Player is certainly proving his mettle coming up with consistent all round performances in the Ismail Mirza Shield Tournament. Gaurav began the season with an impressive fifer followed by a crucial half century at the middle order and now again he comes up with a match winning bowling performance.

Played at Kini Sports Ground, Social Cricketers after being put to bat first were bundled out for 143 runs in 51.2 overs with Vyshak’s 42 being the highest score. From the bowlers, it was Gaurav Dhiman who turned out to be the pick of the lot with impactful bowling performance of 5/22 in 14.2 overs alongwith 6 maidens. Gaurav was spot on with the ball providing timely breakthroughs while he was supported by Karthik CA who also took 4 wkts for 21 runs.

Swastik Union in reply made 313/8 in 64.2 overs courtesy a brilliant hundred by wicket keeper batsman Sujay SS who scored 133 runs off 169 balls. Gaurav also chipped in with the bat scoring 77 off 65 balls to take his team towards a 300+ total while Madhav remained unbeaten on 49*

Result: Swastik Union Cricket Club won the match on 1st innings lead
