28yr old Raghu Sharma who has played all the 3 formats in Domestic Cricket has made it into the Pondicherry Squad for the 2021-22 season. Raghu who made his first class debut in 2017 played his last T20 game vs Kerala on January 10, 2021 while he has been giving consistent performances in the selection and practice matches at Pondicherry.
The right arm leg break spin bowling all-rounder was amongst the top performers in the T10 and T12 tournaments conducted by Cricket Association of Pondicherry. Apart from being amongst the wickets, Raghu was also one of the most economical bowlers making a strong case for himself for the domestic selections.
Speaking exclusively with Zoom Cricket, Raghu shared:
“It certainly feels great to make a comeback into the T20 squad, the amount of hardwork I have put on my fitness, on my nets practice sessions finally seems to have paid rewards. After grinding hard for almost 70-75 practice and selection games, it has been possible to be back into the domestic setup. Thanks to CAP for putting faith in me, for believing in me, thanks to Dishant Yagnik sir for the guidance and plans to improvise on my game. I will try and give my 200% for Pondicherry and it’s a matter of pride to sport the CAP logo on my chest”
