Panhala Panthers after being put to bat first at Brilliants Sports Academy Ground in Pune made a total of 181/4 in 20 overs. Openers Mahesh Hirapara (43 runs off 31 balls) and Tushar Koli (33 runs off 23 balls) gave a flying start putting on 69 runs in the first 7 overs which set the tone for their innings. The middle order batters also chipped in well with cameos which helped team cross the 180 run mark. From the bowlers, Sachin Sonavne with 1/23 and Ajit Bhinge with 1/24 was the pick of the lot.
Torna Tigers almost pulled it off giving it a tough fight however they fell short of just 2 runs in what remained a thriller of a match which remained exciting till the very end. Nayan Bhansali bowled a very crucial spell taking 4/26 in 4 overs. Nayan provided timely breakthroughs alongwith keeping it tight while Dharmendra bagged key wickets of set batters Ashwin and danger man Shafik.
