Seems like this is a year of comebacks & especially for the Wicket-Keepers, first it was Former IPL & India U19 Player Unmukt Chand making his debut in BBL to 37yr old Dinesh Karthik making a stunning comeback to the Indian Team from nowhere and now it’s the very fit Naman Ojha who recently announced in an interview with Zoom Cricket that he is available to play for Associate Nations as well as in overseas leagues and pro tournaments on first come first serve basis.
Naman who has represented India across all the 3 formats played his last International Game in 2015 vs Sri Lanka at Colombo (SSC) while he played his last FC match for Madhya Pradesh in the 2020 season. Naman is one of the most prolific domestic players as well with 9753 FC Runs at an average of close to 42.00 which includes 22 hundreds. Naman has over 16,000+ runs across all formats combined with close to 2 decades of experience.
The stylish wicket-keeper batsman also showed his exploits in the recently concluded RS World Series in January, 2022 where he scored a stunning 140* off mere 69 deliveries showing his reflexes as well as his supreme fitness to the world! Having an experienced campaigner like Naman would certainly be very beneficial for upcoming associate nations who can thrive & learn things under his mentorship & experience.
Naman Ojha shared with ZoomCricket “I am consistently working on my fitness and as you can see, I am still very fit and I keep playing wherever there are opportunities. Yes obviously, now I am available to play for leagues, overseas pro tournaments as well as for associate nations. Whichever Nation or League needs me can connect with me and I shall contribute on first come first serve basis”
