Summary:
When it comes to clean strikers of the ball in Maharashtra Cricket who can turn around the course of the game in no time, Advay Shidhaye is one name which often comes in mind! A young hard hitting all-rounder who can be equally impactful both with the bat as well as with the ball.
Unlike most of the kids, Advay started playing cricket a little late at the age of 14 but rose through the ranks in no time in Maharastra Cricket. Starting his journey at Dilip Vengsarkar Cricket Academy in Pune, Advay went on to represent Multiple Clubs throughout his last one decade of professional cricket. Advay has also played for Top Division Clubs of Pune like the iconic PYC Gymkhana and United CC to reputed clubs like PJ Hindu Gymkhana and New Hindu CC in Mumbai Cricket.
Advay also made his state level debut for Maharashtra representing Maharashtra U25 Team in U25 Bapuna Trophy in Vidarbha and U25 State A Men’s A Trophy organized by BCCI in Kerala. Advay’s versatility as a player has ensured him performing consistently across all formats. From scoring a record breaking Double Century in T20 Cricket at Baramati Stadium in Maharashtra to scoring a blazing 48 ball 105 runs in Times Shield to scoring a 53 ball ton in PDCA Tournament, Advay has proved time and again, that he can adapt quickly to different formats of the game. If stats or records are anything to go by, Advay probably remains the only player in Maharashtra or maybe even across India to score 2 Double Tons in T20 Format in professional leather ball cricket.
What’s more, if his hard hitting skills and clutch abilities with the bat were’nt enough, he is equally impactful with the ball as well. Advay has as many as 15 fifers to his name across different tournaments including some key spells in Top Division and State level tournaments. His 5/39 in 16 overs in MCA Invitation Tournament vs Nanded or his 5/6 in 8 overs in B Division Goa Cricket Association Tournament are some silent testimonies of how handy he can be with the ball.
