jayy jain

Jayy Jain has been one player who has been in the Mumbai Circuit for quite some time, over the years, he has delivered consistent performances across multiple tournaments in Mumbai Cricket. The young southpaw has played all formats at top division and he has been an equally exciting prospect representing Mumbai at age group levels.

Speaking specifically about this season, Jayy has showed commendable consistency pulling out over 2000+ runs, 2208 runs to be precise at an astounding batting average of 58.10. More than the runs which he has scored, it’s also how and when he has scored which made all the difference. For example, his 175* in the 3rd innings for Bank of Baroda in the A Division Times Shield’25 where not a single batter in 2nd innings managed to score 20+ with the bat while it was this young southpaw who grabbed everyone’s attention scoring almost 75% of the team’s total single handedly.

Jayy’s blazing 159* off mere 77 balls in the semi-finals of Talyarkhan Tournament, a knock which included 13 boundaries and 12 sixes to his name as he tore apart everything which came in his way. Jayy once again displayed his big hitting abilities with a 47 ball 130* in Padmakar Talim Shield Tournament’25 which had as many as 15 sixes, silently displaying how he can quickly adapt across formats with the ideal match temperament and technique.

From his blazing 157* in MCA U23 Shalini Bhalekar Trophy’24 to his 54 ball ton in MCA Rathod Trophy’25 or his performances for Mumbai at State Level which include centuries in BCCI Men’s U23 State A Elite Trophy U23 One Day Tournament’25 & U23 Col CK Nayadu Trophy’25 are testimonies to his batting prowess.

Jayy has definitely been one player from the Mumbai stable who can be a dominant force for any professional team at the top order and we wish him all the luck for a great season ahead.
