Cricket has become very competitive and to survive in such environment, you need to be at the top of your game. If you are a batsman, you certainly need to up your game with every match or else there is someone warming the bench ready to replace you any second. In this growing competition and increase in T10 & T20 Tournaments, batters certainly need quality practice in the nets and that’s where the entire concept of Roboarm has emerged in the last few years.
There are very few roboarm specialists in India at present and Rohit Sharma is one of them from Faridabad, Haryana. Rohit originally started off as a cricketer at the age of 11 in Shree Ram Narayan Cricket Academy at Rohtak under Coach Ashwini Sharma. In his short yet sweet career, Rohit has played for multiple teams and clubs as a professional cricketer. What’s more he has even played till district level with a best score of 162* in Delhi League. Rohit has also smashed hundreds in major tournaments like Faridabad District League & DDCA League.
It was in the year 2019-2020, Rohit suffered a serious injury because of which he had to stop playing Cricket. It was during that phase, he decided to pursue a career as a sidearm specialist considering the demand for such professionals as well as his ability to bowl quick. Rohit was guided by Current Ranji Trophy Player Chandra Pal Saini and in a span of 2 years now, he is now considered amongst the best in the business.
Rohit manages to bowl at a speed of 135 to 140 kmph + which makes him amongst the fastest sidearm specialists in India. Rohit considers quick in-swinging deliveries at good length as his stock delivery while he has many variations under his arsenal right from bouncers to unplayable yorkers. In a span of just 2 years, rohit’s abilities as a sidearm specialist has helped him work with top level Indian & IPL cricketers. At present, Rohit works at Sportscube Center of Excellence Cricket Academy in Gurgaon.
