Winnipeg Blues clinch a close 1wkt win as Prayag delivers with all-round show in MCA Elite Division 2025

Played at Labarriere Park 3 (WPG), Royal Tigers after being put to bat first made a total of 274/10 in 48.5 overs. Opener Ravinder Singh scored a century in an otherwise tipid batting display as most of their batters came in with starts and cameos. From the bowlers, Prayag Kumar was the pick of the lot taking 3/57 in 8.5 overs including some key middle order breakthroughs.

Winnipeg Blues chased down the score successfully in what turned out to be an evenly poised encounter as match remained exciting till the very end. Opener Pubudu scored a solid 48 while Milan Khunti at the middle order scored a crucial half century scoring 70 runs off 68 balls. Milan was well aided by Plash (31 runs) followed by all-rounder Prayag Kumar who scored 35 runs off 41 balls. Milan’s quick 16 ball 27 also came in handy in the death overs as Winnipeg Blues clinched a memorable close shave win by 1 wicket.
