Sachin Gill shines in the finals & bags Player of the Series award in Swaminarayan Pro T20 Tournament’22

Into the all important finals at Shree Cutchi Leva Patel Samaj Complex Ground in Nairobi, Mafuko Mavericks opting to bat first posted a total of 210/6 in 20 overs. Skipper Dhiren Gondaria scored 58 off 35 balls, Irfan Karim at no.3 scored a 36 ball 51 while the in form all rounder Sachin Gill top scored with a flashy 61 off mere 28 balls taking the game away in no time spanking 4 sixes and 5 boundaries. Sachin did excellent batting in the death overs as Mafuko crossed the 200 run mark in their stipulated 20 overs.

Strikers in reply could’nt match the pace of Mafuko when it came to chasing as they could only manage 172/9 in 20 overs Dhiren, Naran and Eugine with 2 wkts each were the pick of the lot while Sachin was the most economical only conceding 24 runs in his spell of 4 overs.

Mafuko Mavericks won the match by 38 runs while Dhiren Gondaria was declared ‘Player of the Match”. Sachin Gill who scored 294 runs and also bagged 7 wkts in the series was declared “Player of the Series”
