Lions opting to bat first Labarriere Park 1 in Canada made a total of 106/10 in 20 overs. Most of their batters found it a task to convert their starts with Mantoj at the middle order being the highest scorer with 35 runs. From the bowlers, Captain Prayag Kumar led the bowling troop taking 3/23 in 4 overs while Milan bagging 2 wkts.

Chasing 108 seemed like a mere formality as Winnipeg Blues took mere 11.4 overs to finish of the match in style. Even though, they lost their openers early but Sarbjot and Prayag forged a crucial partnership to take their team towards the victory line. Prayag literally owned the day making it an all-round performance as he anchored the chase with 53* off just 37 balls which included 6 boundaries and 2 sixes.
