Prayag All-Round Show steers Manitoba to a win over Saskatchewan | Canada Cricket

Prayag Kumar – one of the promising young prodigy from Mumbai is making a mark for himself in Canada Cricket with consistent performances.  In his most recent outing, the youngster grabbed man of the match award for his all-round show vs Saskatchewan in a League Match.

Manitoba after being put to bat first at Douglas Park- 1 Ground in Regina, Canada made a total of 165/7 in 20 overs. Opener Kamaljot Singh scored 52 runs while all-rounder Prayag smashed a crucial 38 off 29 balls at no.4 while rest of the batters chipped in as Manitoba crossed the 150 run mark in their stipulated 20 overs.

Saskatchewan in reply could only manage 104/9 in 20 overs courtesy brilliant bowling by Manitoba bowlers. Shlok Patel with 3/7 in 4 overs was the pick of the lot while Prayag also contributed with the ball taking 3/17 in 3 overs with a maiden making it a complete all-round show. More importantly, Prayag picked up all the top 3 wickets to dent opposition’s batting line up. Prayag in his debut for Manitoba has already won Man of the Series and Best Bowler of the Series taking 7 wkts in 4 matches apart from healthy contributions with the bat.

Result: Manitoba won by 61 runs, Prayag Kumar declared ‘Man of the Match”
