OCA successfully defends their low total as Arya Katariya shines again with the ball in Brampton International Cricket Festival’24

OCA XI after opting to bat first had a tough day at the office as they could only manage a total of 84 runs all out in 18.2 overs. Tarandeep Singh at no.4 chipped in with yet another important 22 while Abdullah and Yash Padhiyar at lower middle order chipped in with handy contributions.

Defending a total of 85, the pressure was certainly more on the OCA Team but they came back with a bang ensuring Trinbago Youngsters Trinidad have an equally tough day at the office! Fresh from a win in their opening game, the bowlers carried forward their positive momentum from the first match restricting Trinbago to just 76/8 in 20 overs.

Arya Katariya who bowled exceptionally well in the first match continued to shine, this time with a dream spell of 4/3 in 4 overs including 2 maidens. Arya bowled at an economy of just 1.00 and probably this will be amongst the most economical spells of the tournament. The rest of the bowlers also did a fine job with Shanay Shah also being impressive taking 2/7 in 2 overs as OCA clinched an iconic win by just 8 runs.

Arya Katariya for his stunning bowling performance was declared ‘man of the match”
