Modern English School wins over Al-Barkat in MES U16 Tournament’24

Modern English School (Chembur) by Achievers Cricket Academy batting first at MIG Cricket Ground in Bandra made a total of 293 runs in 89.5 overs with two impressive half centuries by Kanav Saini and Praanav Iyengar.  The openers gave a decent start putting on 43 runs while Kanav who came at no.3 carried on the positive momentum scoring 58 off 89 balls which included 8 boundaries and 2 sixes. Kanav also stitched a crucial partnership with Praanav Iyengar who top scored in the match with 73 runs. Pranav looked rock solid showing brilliant composure as he faced 144 deliveries which included 7 boundaries. Shashwat Naik at the lower middle order also chipped in well with 43 runs off 53 balls.

Al-Barkat in reply were all out for 162 runs with Jasmeet Singh and Vivaan Jobanputra bagging 3wkts each. Receiving a follow on, Vivaan Jobanputra again wrecked the opposition’s batting line up taking the all 4 wkts of Al-Barkat before the end of the game’s play with scorecard reading 67/4 in 20 overs.

Modern English School (Chembur) by Achievers Cricket Academy won the match on 1st innings lead, Vivaan Jobanputra who took 7wkts in the match was declared ‘man of the match”
