Yash Padhiar’s 4-fer steers OCA to a win in their opening match in Brampton International Cricket Festival’24

Ontario Cricket Academy opting to bat first made a total of 123/8 in 20 overs. Most of their batters chipped in with contributions with Dilraj Deol and Tarandeep Singh being the highest scorers. Dilraj scored a handy 27 off 23 balls while Tarandeep Singh scored a solid 34 ball 24 which also included a six.

Defending a total of 124 runs, OCA bowlers did a fab job to begin their season on a positive note successfully defending their total. Hamilton Lashley Barbados were cleaned up for 88 runs in 18.5 overs with Yash Padhiyar returning with match winning bowling performance of 4/16 in 4 overs. Arya Kataria also bowled a crucial spell conceding mere 11 runs in his 4 overs while scalping 2 wkts including the wicket of set opener Ryan.

Krissen Missir also returned with crucial contribution taking 3/28 in 4 overs as Ontario Cricket Academy won the match by 35 runs. Yash Padhiyar for his important spell 4 wkts was declared ‘Player of the Game”
