In the first match at SSCA Ground in Kalyan, Santosh Sports Cricket Academy opting to bat first managed to score 101/6 in 22 overs. Opener Anush (44 runs) and Tanushree Jadhav (45 runs) were the top scorers while rest of the batters were not able to convert in double digits. Cricket Explained Academy bowlers did a neat job with the ball with Eshit being the pick of the lot taking 2/22 in 4 overs while Vedhas and Dinesh taking a wicket each.
Cricket Explained Academy in reply chased down the score successfully in 16.3 overs winning the match by 7 wkts. Openers Yuvaan (21 runs) and Tvisha (21 runs) gave a solid opening start of 60 runs while Abhimanyu (28*) and Vivaan Sawant (12*) finished off the chase as CE won the match by 7 wkts. In the second match at afternoon, Cricket Explained chose to bat first scoring 131/7 in 22 overs with Captain Jiaan Lakhmani leading from the front being the top scorer. Coming at no.4, Jiaan scored 42 off 52 balls. From the bowlers, Arnav with 2 wkts was the pick of the lot from SSCA.
SSCA in the 2nd match did manage to give a tough fight scoring 123/8 in 22 overs falling short of just 8 runs to cross the victory line. CE bowlers did an amazing job in the death overs with Abhimanyu and Arnav Sant taking 2 wickets each.
Cricket Explained Academy won the match by 8 runs while Arnav Sant for his all-round show of 14* and 2 wkts was declared ‘man of the match”
