Piyush Karkhur’s unbeaten 94* steers E Merck Sports Club to a win in Dreamz Corporate Tournament’24

CIPLA after being put to bat first at Young Zoroastrian wicket at Azad Maidan made a total of 195 runs all out in 36.5 overs. Opener Vijay and Omkar at the middle order were the top scorers scoring 40 and 43 respectively while Rakesh being the top scorer with 51 runs. From the bowlers, Harsh and Krutarth with 3 wickets each were the pick of the lot.

E Merck Sports Club in reply chased down the total in 32 overs winning the match in commanding fashion.  After losing openers early, it was Piyush Karkhur who played a match winning innings of 94 runs off 99 balls to anchor the chase. His composed knock played a pivotal role in guiding E Merck sports club to a comfortable 6-wicket victory. Karkhur’s ability to anchor the innings and his steady partnerships ensured his team successfully reached the target, showcasing both technical skill and match awareness. His match-winning performance not only earned him the Player of the Match award but also contributed significantly to E Merck’s sports club dominant win by 6 wkts.
