Nishant Jani – One of the Top Coaches in Gujarat Cricket has been appointed the Head Coach of Saurashtra U19 and Saurashtra U23 Women’s Team for the season of 2024-25. On the basis of his hard work, ethics and commitment, this is Nishanth’s 2nd consecutive appointment by Saurashtra Cricket Association.
After an amazing season of 2023-24 where Nishanth took Saurashtra Women’s Cricket at another level, this is his yet another opportunity to keep working towards the growth of Women’s Cricket in Saurashtra. Nishant was quite instrumental in developing a strong U19 Women’s team which grew and dominated throughout the year last season.
Currently the Saurashtra U23 Team is at 3rd Position in BCCI One Days Rankings and Nishant will take on the role of elevating the team to higher levels. Nishant was appointed the Head Coach for West Zone Team for all formats where West Zone reached the finals. West Zone team consisted big names like Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues, Radha Yadav, Yastika Bhatia, Humaira Kazi, Sayali Satghare, Devika Vaidya, Saima Thakor, Anuja Patil & many more who trained under Nishant’s Coaching. Nishanth was also called up for IPL team Gujarat Titans Camp for consecutively two seasons where he had worked with International & national players.
Under his guidance Morbi District Cricket Association become Champions in U19, U23 & Senior team as well as U16 team qualified for knock outs in Inter District Cricket Tournaments under Saurashtra Cricket Association. Recently, High Performance Camp was also organized by Nishant in collaboration with ithink Sportz where his mentor and guru Mr Umesh Patwal jointly conducted 15 days camp with 25 International & Domestic Ranji Trophy Players for their betterment of cricket.
Nishant further shared “We have the young and dynamic president of Saurashtra Cricket Association Mr. Jaydev Shah who is active 24×7 for the budding cricketers. When it comes to development of Cricket in Saurashtra, Jaydev Shah is always available and accessible. Jaydev has been a light of hope for young cricketers ensuring there are lot of opportunities & chances he gives to young boys & girls for Saurashtra cricket”
