Young Comrade CC batting first on Bengal CC, Shivaji Park, Dadar made a total of 91 runs all out in 44 overs with only Karan Vasshodia and A. Lotlikar managing to score in double digits. It was a brilliant bowling performance by Muslim United bowlers with experienced Spinner Shashikant Kadam coming into play with an impactful fifer. Left-arm spinner Shashikant took 6/29 in 14 overs including 4 maidens which ultimately made all the difference in the match.
Chasing 92, Muslim United Sports Club did face some early jitters losing both the openers early but it was Alsaadh Sheikh who has been in excellent form this season showing his class and temperament under pressure. Alsaadh soaked in pressure facing as many as 100 deliveries coming at no.3 anchoring the team innings with a gritty 36* as they declared their innings at 95/6 in 36.1 overs. Opposition skipper Shamit Shetty returned with 4 wkts and manage to give a fight but Muslim United ultimately got the 1st innings lead.
