Skipper Tarun’s rapid 44* and Yagnesh’s tight spell steers Elite India to a win over Vikings

Vikings opting to bat first at Billionaires Sports Arena in Hyderabad, Telangana scored 162/6 in 20 overs. Most of their batters chipped in with starts but could’nt convert them as Elite Ind United bowlers did a fine job of restricting the opposition. Yagnesh led from the front in bowling department taking 2/12 in 4 overs including a maiden.

Elite India United in reply did lost some early wickets with scoreboard reading 34/3 and 68/4 at one stage but it was their middle order consisting of Yagnesh, Tarun Sharma and SP Sai who made things possible with their crucial batting contributions. Yagnesh (35 off 25) and Tarun (44* off 26) stitched a crucial 48 run stand for the 5th wicket followed by another unbeaten 50* sixth wicket stand with SP Sai (24*) as Elite India scripted a memorable win by 5 wkts crossing the victory line in the final over.

Tarun who led the team played a Captain’s knock not only scoring a match winning 44* but also forging two crucial partnerships at the middle order.
