Yet another half century for Akhil as BPCL registers a 125 run over DTDC in B Div Times Shield’24

BPCL opting to bat first at MIG Cricket Ground in Bandra made a total of 193/10 in 55.1 overs.  Left-Handed opener Akhil Herwadkar who has been in healthy nick throughout the season once again flourished with the bat scoring a crucial half century. Akhil scored 56 off 81 balls which included 7 boundaries striking at 69.14 while rest of the batters chipped in with starts but could’nt convert it into big totals. From the bowlers, Shreyas Gurav with 4 wkts was the pick of the lot.

DTDC in reply were all out for 162 runs with all-rounder Atharva Ankolekar bagging 5 wkts. BPCL in 2nd innings scored 216 runs with half century by their senior statesman Dhaval Kulkarni scoring 50 runs off 78 balls coming at no.9

Chasing 247, DTDC were all out for 122 runs in their 2nd innings with Atharva Ankolekar once again spinning a web with a brilliant 7 wkt haul as BPCL won the match by 125 runs.
