3 Tons for Left-Hander Jayy Jain in MCA Shalini Bhalekar Trophy’23

Jehangir Pithawala XI opting to bat first at MCA Ground in Mumbai made a total of 461/10 in 116.1 overs courtesy a double century by Harshal Jadhav who scored 243 runs. Apart from him Sahil Jadhav scored a half century while rest of the batters chipped in with cameos.

RR Sahuraja XI in reply were bundled out for 230 runs in 46.2 overs courtesy a searing spell of fast bowling by Zaid Patankar. Zaid returned with exceptional bowling figures in the match as he took 6/42 in 13 overs. Zaid made life difficult with his raw pace as RR Sahuraja XI could’t capitalize much while chasing a steep 1st innings total of 461.

RR Sahuraja in 2nd innings did gave a comeback of sorts as Jayy Jain who has been in exceptional form this season registered his 3rd Century of the tournament. Jayy scored 103 off mere 76 balls smashing 11 boundaries and 6 sixes at a strike rate of 135.33. Before this knock, Jayy scored 167 vs VV Karmarkar XI and 143 vs Sanjay Bangar XI in the same ongoing Shalini Bhalekar Trophy.
