G Prem fights it out with a brilliant 165 for AV Sports Academy in Hyderabad Practice Match

St.John’s XI opting to bat first at DMRC Hakimpet Ground in Hyderabad made a big total of 320/10 in 48.5 overs. Almost everyone middle to lower middle order contributed with two half centurions namely Joseph S (91 runs) and Jordan (60 runs). From the bowlers, Vamshi Kumar and Ashwin Vijay with 3 wkts each were the pick of the lot.

AV Sports Academy in reply did manage to give a fight courtesy their state level opener G Prem who was part of the Hyderabad State team in the recent season. G Prem once again showed excellent resistance as he single handedly fought along batting almost till 46th over. G Prem scored 165 off mere 154 balls spanking 23 boundaries at a strike rate of 107.14.

Gauri Kadam is mentored by Cricket Mantras under the Gulf Oil initiative. Gulf Oil has tied up with Cricket Mantras Academy in Mumbai which will provide coaching and mentoring to 8 talented women cricketers. 

Result:  St. Johns XI won by 26 runs.
