All-Rounder Nikhil Jain spanks Back to Back half centuries across multiple T20 Tournaments

In the Wisdom Winter T20, Arch Mavericks after being put to bat first at Wisdom Cricket Academy Ground in Pune posted a total of 171/7 in 20 overs.  Skipper Nikhil Jain who came at no.3 led from the front scoring a brilliant 54 off 29 balls smashing 8 fours and a six. Apart from him, opener Pranay Ranka scored 46 runs off 41 balls. However, the opposition team Blue Eagles chased down the total and won the match by 6 wkts and 10 balls to spare.

In the other match which followed in PDCA Late Anna Jog Invitation Trophy, Sunny XI CC after being put to bat first at the scenic Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium made a total of 191/5 in 31.5 overs. Even though it was a shaky top order start, it was Nikhil Jain at no.5 who resurrected the innings back with a 43 ball half century. Nikhil scored 50 runs under pressure and helped his team reach a respectable total on board. However, Nikhil’s efforts went in vain as Legends Sports Club chased down the score in 30.2 overs winning the match by 3 wkts.

Nikhil Jain – a player who has been nothing but a revelation this year as he has scored runs at will across different tournaments in Maharashtra. From hitting some match winning centuries to some crucial half centuries to some impressive performances in Designer Premier League, Nikhil has batted like a proper Batsman with an average almost twice his career average which speaks volumes about the form he is in. He has been equally handy with the ball as well making him a vital cog in any playing XI.
