Dinesh Mohan’s solid 52 helps Crick Players clinch semis win in One Champion Plate 7 Tournament

Played at One Champion Ground 2 in Hyderabad, Telangana, Crick Players opting to bat first posted a healthy total on board scoring 192/5 in 20 overs, the top 4 of the team contributed very well with opener Raj scoring 56 off 30 balls while Dinesh Mohan who came at no.3 played the anchors role scoring a solid 52 off 44 balls which included 6 boundaries. Dinesh and Raj put on a crucial stand together to ensure their team reached a commanding total on board.

Stars XI in reply managed 178/7 in 20 overs falling short of 14 runs to cross the victory line. Dinesh who earlier contributed with the bat also played a brilliant hand with the ball bagging 4/23 in 4 overs providing timely breakthroughs.

In a thriller end to the match, Crick Players won by 1 run (DLS method – Match reduced to 19.0 overs, target 180 runs) while Dinesh Mohan for his all-round contribution of 52 and 4 wkts was declared ‘man of the match’
