Opener Bhupen Lalwani laid the foundation with an enterprising knock of 163 runs in 213 balls. Bhupen who was amongst the top run getters for Uttarakhand in Ranji this season showed his class smashing as many as 9 sixes and 13 boundaries while stitching crucial partnerships with Amogh (54 runs) and no.3 bat Aarya Satpute who scored an impressive 114 off 194 balls.
Ayaz Ahmed coming at no.5 further took the game away with his blazing display of batting as he went on to top score in the match with a fantastic knock of 200* runs in mere 134 balls, a majestic innings which included as many as 17 sixes to his name.
CSGT & CEX Mumbai Zone in reply scored 448 runs all out in 112.1 overs powered by centuries of Sagar Mishra (162 runs) and Yash Chavan (102 runs). Nirlon bowlers had the upper hand with Ishan Mulchandani bagging 5/134 while Dhrumil Matkar bagging 4/133 as Nirlon won the match on 1st innings lead.
