Varad’s fifer helps Blue Duck Holidays Pvt Ltd emerge Champions of Chanawala 40 Overs Trophy’26

Into the all-important finals of the tournament, Blue Duck Holidays Pvt Ltd after being put to bat first scored 174/7 in 40 overs. All-Rounder Kshitij Metkari scored 30 runs while Vedant Patil at the middle order scored an unbeaten 43* off 47 balls. Vedant Patil played a crucial Knock under pressure in the finals and took the team towards a fighting first innings total.

Defending a total of 175, Blue Duck Holidays bowled did an excellent job restricting Stallions Pvt Ltd to 103 all out in 17.5 overs.  Varad Dhotre emerged as the star bowler for Blue Duck Holidays as he delivered in one of the most important matches of the tournament returning with a match winning bowling spell of 5/14 in 5 overs as Blue Duck Holidays won the finals by 71 runs.

Varad Dhotre for his game changing fifer was declared ‘man of the match’ while Kshtij Metkari Emerged Best Bowler of the Tournament for his 10 wickets.

Captain Hrishikesh Puranik who led the troop successfully throughout the series shared with Zoomcricket: Varad bowled brilliantly which helped us defend a not so threatning total. Varad was a left arm fast bowler who changed to Left arm spin after joining Cricket Explained Academy. Also, handy knock by Kshitik and Vedant’s anchoring 43* played crucial role in our win. Overall, the whole team has done an excellent job with almost everyone contributing in their capacity at different junctures of the tournament which helped us to become the Champions.
