National CC batting first at Mumbai Police Gymkhana made a total of 302/9 in 45 overs. Aryraraj Nikam (54 runs), Harshal Kate (64 runs) and Onkar Jadhav (71 runs) smashed half centuries for National CC. From the bowlers, Suraj Shinde with 3/50 was the pick of the lot.
Chasing 303, Mumbai Police did a fantastic job on their home ground chasing it down in mere 43.1 overs. Mumbai Police did look in trouble at one stage with 3 early wickets down but Captain Rohit Pol at no.3 stabilized the ship with a solid knock of 80 runs. Yogesh Shinde who came at no.5 soaked in the pressure and smashed one of his memorable innings while chasing a 300+ total. Yogesh went on to score a match winning knock of 101 runs in 115 balls which included 11 boundaries and lots of hardwork between the wickets. Yogesh also stitched crucial partnerships, first with Rohit and then with wicket-keeper Suraj Shinde who also played a very handy knock of 64 runs as Mumbai Police won the match by 4 wkts.
