Vasanth’s 4-fer helps Spartans CC open season with a memorable win in Essex and East London Cricket League’25

Played at Jack Carter Pavilion Ground, Spartans CC, Essex opting to bat first made a total of 116 runs in 28.1 overs. Naresh Lavudya at no.3 was the top scorer with 32 runs alongwith 18 runs by Venkatesh at the middle order.

Defending a total of 117, Spartans CC bowlers came back into the match and gave a tough fight to Redbridge Parks CC restricting them to 113 all out in what turned out to be a low scoring thriller. Vasanth Reddy came up with a match winning spell coming up with envious bowling figures of 4/24 in 9 overs including 3 maidens. Deepak Parashar also bowled well as he took 3/32 in 9 overs including 2 maidens as Spartans CC, Essex won the match by 3 runs.
