Just fresh from a scorching half century vs Sind Sports Club, Akhil continues his run onslaught this time vs Juhu Vileparle Gymkhana. CCI after being put to bat first on their home ground had a great day at the office notching up a massive 280/3 in 20 overs. Opener Akhil Herwadkar and Rudra Dhanday (46 runs) gave a flying start to the innings. Akhil went on to score an aggressive stroke filled half century scoring 70 off mere 31 balls which included 6 boundaries and 6 sixes. Akash Parkar at the middle order gave the finishing touch with a blazing 84* off 23 balls which had 11 sixes in it. What’s more Akash created a record of sorts smashing 8 sixes in 8 balls to enthrall the spectators.

JVPG found it difficult to get going vs the quality bowling of CCI as they managed to score just 114/9 in 20 overs. Atharva Sankhe with 2/19 was the pick of the lot while rest of the bowlers chipped in with a wicket each as CCI won by a big margin of 166 runs.
