Western Railway Traffic Sports Club awarded Trophy at MCA Awards Function

Western Railways Traffic Sports Club rose their way to the top this year winning the finals of F Division MCA Corporate Trophy and becoming the F Division Champions. A Consistent growth after being semi-finalists in 2023-24. It was a collective team performance by Western Railway players throughout the season as they defeated multiple teams on the way before reaching the finals which was played at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai vs Citi Bank.

In the all important finals, WESTERN RAILWAY TRAFFIC SPORTS CLUB batting first made a total of 175/5 in 20 overs. After losing both the openers early, it was Karan Joshi at no.3 who played an heroic innings under pressure as he smashed 84* off 54 balls while recieving great support by no.4 Tushar who scored 45 runs as both the batters took the team towards a defendable total.

Citi Bank did manage to give a fight but ultimately fell short by 10 runs as with Captain Akshay Girap and Rahul Thakur bagging 3 wickets each as Western Railways Traffic Sports Club won finals by 10 runs. Karan Joshi for his brilliant half century was declared “Man of the Finals”

In the recently concluded Awards Ceremony by MCA, 100years old club, Western Railways Traffic Sports Club were awarded Trophy. Under the leadership of Secretary – Shri Arun Kumar Meena Sr.DOM in Western Railway, Team Captain – Mr Akshay Girap, the Club has definitely progressed leaps and bounds and we wish them all the luck for the upcoming season.
