Vedant-Aayush Half Centuries steers Blue Duck Holidays to become Champions of Chanawala 40 overs Trophy’25

Blue Duck Holiday Ltd opting to bat first at New Era, Azad Maidan made a total of 248/6 in 40 overs. Captain Hrishikesh Puranik (32 runs) opening the innings with Aayush Ambekar gave a flying start to the innings as both the openers put on 86 run stand for the 1st wicket. Aayush scored a well crafted 56 off 70 balls which included 6 boundaries while Vedant Patil at no.5 was the highest scorer smashing run a ball 61 to take his team towards a strong position. Vedant smashed 5 boundaries and did lot of running between the wickets while stitching crucial partnership with Ajinkya Deshpande. From the bowlers, Aditya Patil and R Maruf with 2 wkts each were the pick of the lot.

Wisdom Wise Private Limited in reply were cleaned up for 123 runs in 33.2 overs thanks to a match winning spell by Kshitij Metkari. Kshitij returned with excellent bowling figures of 5/17 in 7 overs including 2 maidens while Vedant took 3/14 in 7.2 overs with 2 maidens as Blue Duck Holiday Pvt Ltd won the match by 125 runs and became the Tournament Champions under the Captaincy of the experienced Hrishikesh Puranik.

Hrishikesh Puranik was awarded Best Batsman of the Tournament with 207 runs in 4 matches while Kshtij Metkari was Awarded Best Bowler of the Tournament with 16 wkts.
