Two Back to Back wins for Ugraretas CC while Sunny smashes a memorable ton in NICE Corporate Tournament’23

In the match which was played on 9th September vs Desi Paltan at Nadaprabhu Cricket Ground in Bangalore, Desi Paltan opting to bat first made a total of 99/10 in 20.4 overs with their only two batters at the lower middle order chipping in with 30’s. It was a clinical bowling performance by Ugraretas CC bowlers with Ganesh Rajan being the pick of the lot taking 4/21 in 6 overs including a wicket.

Ugraretas CC in reply chased down the target with superlative ease winning the practice match by 8 wkts with opener Sunny (30 runs) and Ravi at no.3 with 35* being the top scorers. Ganesh Rajan for his crucial 4-fer was declared ‘man of the match”

In the other match which followed the next day, Ugraretas CC continued their fine touch in league match of NICE Corporate Tournament posting a mammoth total of 305/3 in 30 overs. Opener Sunny who looked in good shape even in his previous outing smashed a scintillating hundred scoring 100 off 74 balls smashing 14 boundaries and a six. Sunny also stitched 163 run stand with his opening partner Visvesh who scored an equally impressive 70 off 57 balls. The rest of the Ugrarets CC bowlers also chipped in with crucial cameos.

Crown CC in reply were all out for 195 runs with Sangamesh taking a match winning fifer. Sangamesh took 5/38 in 6 overs which dented opposition’s batting line up as he kept on providing breakthroughs.
