Tarun Sharma smashes a Double Hundred vs Hyderabad Warriors on BCC Cricket Ground

Team Baazigar opting to bat first at BCC Cricket Ground in Hyderabad, Telangana made a massive total of 364/7 in 50 overs. Tarun Sharma who came in when the team had lost both the openers early changed the game single handedly as he went on to score a record breaking innings of 200 runs in mere 156 balls. Tarun smashed 21 boundaries and 4 sixes at a handsome strike rate of 129.00 as he joined the elite list of players to score a double hundred in a One Day Match in Hyderabad.

Hyderabad Warriors in reply scored 290/7 before the match got abandoned without yielding any results. Tarun started off with 200* off 156 balls vs Hyderabad Warriors on BCA Cricket Ground in Hyderabad followed by scores of 112, 93 and 99* in a run chase. In last 10 innings overall, Tarun has scored 679 runs at an average of 84.87!

Tarun wakes up early in the morning at 4am and catches bus to Hyderabad from Aler (70kmd away). He gets down at Uppal by 6am and then again will take a bus towards Ground (Aziz Nagar or Hakimpet) depending on the Venue and will reach there by 7:45am. A struggle which only his team mates know!

That’s his daily routine when going for matches. It’s certainly a learning phase for Tarun tackling so many difficulties including lacking adequate support from family.  Tarun is working simultaneously and saving money to invest in cricket so he can make a career out of it.
