SMCC United opting to bat first at Sr2 Cricket Ground in Hyderabad, Telangana made a total of 184/7 in 20 overs. With scoreboard reading 90/5 at one stage in the 11th over, SMCC United needed someone who could take the team towards a respectable total batting out the whole 20 overs. All-Rounder Tarun Sharma who came at no.7 took the onus on his hands as he went on to score a match winning 53 off just 28 balls which helped SMCC United post a defendable total of 180+ on board. Tarun batted at a strike rate of almost 190.00 smashing 8 boundaries as he brought up his 31st half century in style.
Team RK in reply were all out for 89 runs in 12.5 overs with Naveen taking 3/7 in 1.5 overs. The rest of the bowlers also contributed well as Team RK won the match by 95 runs. Tarun Sharma for his brilliant batting at the middle under in the crunch overs was declared ‘man of the match”
