Sydney’s blazing 96 steers SMCC United to the finals of Prime Arena Weekend Day Night League Season VII

Nirvana Cricket Club opting to bat first at Prime Arena Ground in Hyderabad, Telangana made a total of 142/6 in 25 overs. Wicket-keeper Kishore at the middle order was the highest scorer with 31 runs while Sunil Singh with 2/32 in 4 overs was the pick of the lot.

Chasing 143 in an all important semi-finals, SMCC United were struggling at one stage with scoreboard reading 13/3 in the 4th over. However, Mr.Reliable Sydney Joseph at no.4 once again displayed his heroics rescuing his team out from trouble as he steered the team with dominance. Sydney went on to score 96* off 57 balls smashing 9 fours and 3 sixes as they crossed the victory line in the 19th over winning the match by 5 wkts. Striking at almost 170.00, Sydney on the way also completed a milestone of 13,000 runs.

SMCC United won the match by 5 wkts while Sydney Joseph was declared ‘man of the match”
