Star All-Rounder Dinesh Mohan’s unbeaten 98* guides Directors XI to a 6wkt win in the finals of SCPL Day Edition 2

Played at SCG Cricket Ground in Hyderabad, Telangana, Brachyura Blasters opting to bat first in the all-important finals of the tournament made a total of 201/6 in 20 overs. Their innings was powered by opener Krishna bala’s half century as he scored 74 runs while rest of the batters contributed with handy cameos. From the bowlers, Santosh Sanju with 4/32 in 4 overs was the pick of the lot.

Directors XI in reply chased down the score successfully in 19.2 overs to emerge the Champions of the Tournament. Star all-rounder Dinesh Mohan who has one of the best batting records in Hyderabad’s Corporate and Club Cricket showed his mettle once again delivering in an important match while chasing a 200+ score in 20 overs. Opening the innings, Dinesh batted till end expertly anchoring the chase with an unbeaten 98* off 52 balls. Dinesh missed out on a well-deserved century but achieved the bigger milestone of taking his team home with the victory.

Striking at almost 189.00 and smashing 11 boundaries and 3 sixes, Dinesh’s blazing knock ensured a 6wkt win for Director’s XI while he was adjudged “man of the match” award in the finals.
